Google Pixel Watch 2 users recently reported a new charging issue where the device restricts powering up with the official adapter but works finely with a few third-party chargers. On the contrary, some users on Reddit mentioned that even non-official charging bricks won’t work effectively.
It’s unclear whether the issue is mainly in the wearable or the adapter. It could be possible that some devices are supplied with a faulty charger. However, issues with the third-party chargers hint that the problem resides in the watch itself.
How to fix the Google Pixel Watch 2 charging issue?
- Set the watch on the charging dock for 10 minutes.
- Wait until you see the lightning bolt-shaped white charge icon appear on the screen.
- Wait for 35 seconds, and then press the digital crown to see the battery level
- After seeing the battery percentage, wait for seven minutes till you see the colorful “G” icon appear on the screen. It’s a sign of a successful software boot and uninterrupted charging.
