Google is bringing an all-new ‘On the Go’ mode to the Meet app that promises to offer an optimized video conferencing experience via your phone. The company has started rolling out this feature gradually to its users and will soon initiate the broader release.
What is On the Go mode?
As per the details, On the Go mode enables only audio services when you are in motion (walking, driving, or in a public place). Eventually, the feature makes it easier to manage video calls and control them using big, easy-to-press buttons.
The On-the-Go interface includes tabs for mute/unmute, hand raise, audio device/source selection, and end call at the bottom of the screen. In the upper part, you will see meeting details with the number of participants.
How to access On the Go mode in Google Meet?
- Open the app’s Meeting settings
- Tap on More Controls
- Here you will find the ‘On the Go’ mode
- Turn on or off the toggle as per your requirements
