What is Self-destructing voice notes feature in WhatsApp? How to use it
After the image section, WhatsApp introduced the self-destructing media feature for voice notes. As per the details, this new capability enables users to share audio messages with view once mode for an extra layer of privacy.
The self-destructing voice notes functionality in WhatsApp restricts users from saving, forwarding, or exporting any audio message. After listening to it for once, you can not hear it again. Eventually, the feature aims to minimize the chances of unauthorized access to your sensitive information.
How to use WhatsApp self-destructing voice notes feature?
A new icon shows up in the chat bar when recording a voice note with a lock. Tapping on this icon will enable the view once mode for the audio message you will send to others, thus protecting it from getting saved, forwarded, or recorded by any means.
The feature is currently in the beta phase for both Android and iOS users. However, the company will roll it out to the stable channel in the upcoming days.
