To maintain the privacy of your internet surfing, Apple has imposed an all-new private browsing feature with the iOS 17 software upgrade. When enabled, the Safari browser app won’t remember or save the pages you visit, your search history, or your AutoFill details.
On the other hand, the Private Browsing feature in the iOS 17 upgrade blocks known trackers and removes tracking which often identifies individual users from URLs. Last but not least, it adds protection to your browsing experience against advanced fingerprinting methods.
How to turn on the Apple iOS 17 Private Browsing feature?
- Go to the Safari app on your iPhone
- Click the Tabs button
- Now swipe to the Private tab group button
- Select the tab you want to keep open
To access this feature, make sure that your iPhone is running on the latest iOS 17 version and has the new build of the Safari browser application.
