Google Pay has recently introduced a unique and prominent UPI Lite feature for Indian residents. Eventually, this capability enables users to perform quick transactions without entering their PIN. It is helpful at times when you want to make several purchases or buy small items.
In simple words, one can make payments of up to 500 INR without using a pin on Google Pay. The maximum balance is 2000 INR whereas, you can spend up to a total of 4000 INR within 24 hours. It doesn’t charge any fee or require KYC and is a secure method to opt for small transactions.
How to use the Google Pay UPI Lite feature?
- Open Google Pay and tap on the profile avatar
- Scroll down and select UPI Lite
- A new screen will appear with details about UPI Lite
- Hit the Continue tab and link your bank account as well as add money
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- When done, you will receive a confirmation message that UPI Lite is active
