Google concerns about user security and has some effective ways to shield your important data and files in its account via a passkey. It is a simple as well as secure alternative to passwords. Although, it provides the strongest protection against threats like phishing over passwords.
On the other hand, passkeys save you from falling into the dilemma stream of whether to make a simple password that you can easily remember or a tough one that slips out of your mind and requires a password manager. This feature is tied up with a PIN or biometric authentication for easy yet secure access to your data.
How to use a Google Account passkey?
- Start with going to g.co/passkeys
- If your account already has a passkey, then you can directly tap Use Passkeys
- In case you don’t have passkeys, then tap on Create a passkey
- Click on Continue
- Follow the on-screen instructions and it’s done!
Tip: If you don’t want other users to access your account, do not create a passkey on a shared device. Before proceeding, ensure that your device is running on the latest operating system.
