What is Google Photos Magic Editor feature? How does it work

During the Pixel 8 series launch event, Google introduced the Magic Editor tool for the Photos app, which feature AI-powered editing skills. It is a new option that enables users to make several editions to their snaps with the help of artificial intelligence.

How does the Google Photos Magic Editor feature work?

Magic Editor in Google Photos scans the image and reflects various edits to result in a wonderful scene. Eventually, you will be able to remove and replace the background as well as reposition elements within the photo. Besides, you can change the style of the image completely. Some other functions you can opt for are:

• Change the sky or water color within the image
• Stylize an image in your way
• Create portraits with blurred backgrounds or portrait lighting
• Automatically remove distractions from the background
• Pick and remove objects with generative in-fill
• Reposition and resize objects

It further displays editing options as per your image. Note that the feature is currently available for Pixel 8 series. However, we may find it in other Android phones as well in the time ahead.
