What is High Power Mode in Apple MacBook Pro? How to activate it
Apple implements ‘worth of attention’ features in its MacBook Pro models and one of them is the High Power Mode. Eventually, this functionality helps users to maintain a balance between the device’s performance and power efficiency.
Besides, the High Power Mode maximizes the overall functioning of the laptop by enabling users to operate at higher speeds. It keeps the device system cooler and allows it to deliver better performance when conducting heavy tasks, such as video processing.
The good news is that Apple is expanding this amazing feature to the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Max chipset. Earlier, High Power Mode was only available for the 16-inch MacBook Pro running on M1 Max and M2 Max chips.
How to activate High Power Mode in Apple MacBook Pro?
- Go to the Apple menu
- Select the system settings
- Tap on the Battery option
- Hit the ‘On battery’ or ‘On power adapter’ option
- Choose High Power Mode
To check if High Power Mode is on, click on the Battery icon in the menu bar to view the battery status menu. Note that you can alter the energy modes for when your Mac is on battery or connected to the power adapter.
