WhatsApp Channel is now having a new feature called Polls that let you share choice-based questions in the group. Eventually, this is a new way to enhance the interaction of admins with their audience. Users in the Channel would be able to pour out their thoughts in a better way instead of simply reacting via emojis.
How to use the Polls feature in WhatsApp Channel?
- Open WhatsApp
- Tap on the Updates section
- Click on your Channel or the one where you want to create a poll
- Tap on the clip icon in the text field
- Apart from Camera and Gallery, you will see the Poll option
These polls within channels will integrate the option to restrict responses to a single choice. Don’t worry about the privacy aspect as when you will participate in a channel poll, your phone number will remain hidden and won’t disclose with the channel owner and other followers.
Note: This feature is available to some Android beta testers and will take some time to reach the stability platform.
