What is Adobe RAW capability on Google Pixel 8 series? How does it work

Posted on

Google Pixel 8 series is getting the new Adobe RAW capability that promises to uplift the photography experience. While both the standard and Pro models are the best when it comes to camera features, the latest addition will boost this aspect to another level.

To begin with, Adobe RAW is capable of enhancing raw images from a variety of cameras and importing them into different Adobe apps such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, and more. It offers more options for editing a picture over the Google Photos app.

Eventually, Lightroom and Photoshop will determine the RAW file format from the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, which comes in as a DNG file. That support is added for the front-facing camera, wide-angle lens, and main sensor on the standard model.

Meanwhile, Pixel 8 Pro will get some more benefits as the RAW supports images taken with the telephoto lens. However, the phone holders need to ensure that the minimum plug-in version should be 16.0.1.
