What is Android Data Saver mode? How to turn it off
Android devices come on the surface with a significant “Data Saver” mode that prevents apps from using data in the background at times of limited data traffic. It is a simple way to avoid excessive data consumption from your regular mobile recharge. Although, not everyone is a fan of this feature.
It is so because enabling the Data Saver mode on your device restricts the app from sending and receiving data in the background. This means you could miss some messages, notifications, and even important alerts.
How to turn off Android Data Saver Mode?
- On your phone, go to the Settings menu
- Click on the Network and Internet section
- Select Data Saver
- Turn off the toggle of the ‘Use Data Saver’
Users having newer smartphone models with the latest OS version can disable the respective feature via Quick Settings, or the Settings widgets.
