What is App Animation issue on OnePlus phones? How to fix it

Posted on

OnePlus users are dealing with a nasty app animation issue and asking the tech giant to release a fix at the earliest. Notably, this glitch prevents phone holders to open any application or perform relevant operations on their handsets.

In recent times, the manufacturer has rolled out many OxygenOS 14 beta builds for eligible devices including the OnePlus 8T. But apart from tempting features, it looks like these updates also resulted in some annoying problems. Also, a few users on the community forum reported that they have been facing the same issue in OxygenOS 13 as well.

Adding more, a OnePlus fan said that it’s just not the app animation but the fps (frame per second) is also dropping, even being at normal state with low usage.

How to fix the App Animation issue on OnePlus phones?

As mentioned, while tapping on any app, it gets open and immediately closes without being launched properly. Some of the ways that you can try to resolve this glitch are:

  • Reboot your OnePlus phone
  • Try disabling app animations and enabling it again via Settings
  • Clear the cache of the Launcher app
  • Charge the device for 2 hours without using it to adapt the software

In case the problem occurs after the OxygenOS 14 beta installation, then you might have to wait for the next build that may resolve this issue.
