Apple iOS 17.2 beta update packs several significant improvements for the existing functions and the inline text predictions feature is also a part of this journey. Eventually, the company has made it easier to disable the predictive text facility on iPhones.

Let us tell you that predictive text refers to the word suggestions that show up above the keyboard while typing. Besides, Apple introduced the inline text prediction capability with iOS 17 to auto-complete sentences that you are typing. One can use these suggestions by hitting the space button.

While it is a useful segment, many users didn’t like this pop-up and tried to turn them off. However, in doing so, it was affecting the predictive text feature. But no more problems as the latest iOS 17.2 update has fixed this difficulty.

How to turn off the inline text predictions in Apple iOS 17.2?

The company has released the third beta of the iOS 17.2 upgrade that has different toggles for each function. Hence, when you turn off the inline text predictions, you will still be able to use predictive text. Besides, turning off the predictive text will disable the inline facility automatically.

Users will find these toggles in the Keyboard settings. Although make sure that you have an iPhone 12 or newer model to use the inline text predictions.
