Apple iOS 17 SharePlay feature enables users to interact with certain apps and media platforms while being on a FaceTime call or iMessage chat. It lets you watch a movie or listen to your favorite songs with your group of friends and family members.
Though the company has introduced this feature in 2021, the latest iOS 17 upgrade enhances this feature to a greater extent. It can share Apple Music over a call or group chat, sync videos so that you may watch together, and more.
How to use Apple iOS 17 SharePlay with FaceTime?
You can initiate a FaceTime watch party by creating and sharing a link. To do so:
- Open the FaceTime app on your iPhone
- Click on the ‘Create a Link’ option
- Once the link appears, tap on the i icon
- Choose the Share Link option in the menu
Apart from sharing the link, you can watch videos with your friends on the FaceTime app using SharePlay. Just start a call and then select an app from the section below the Listen and Play Together option. Thereafter, go to the home screen and open a video streaming app that supports SharePlay.
