Posted on

Google is readying a redesigned UI for the Play Store which will initiate a new identity verification capability. This implementation aims for a secure and safe browsing experience as per users’ preferred settings. The same is also applicable to payment methods.

So far, the tech giant has been developing new security measures such as Play Protect and Android Safe Browsing to enhance user protection and the latest tweaks are no exception to this theory. Eventually, users will be prompted to verify their identity and methods of payment for apps within the store.

The new add-on will protect information via in-built security features. It will further ask users to establish preferred settings to ensure they apply to future downloads. In addition, it checks apps and devices for harmful behavior and restricts accidental downloading of applications.

Next comes the payment method verification which aims to secure your purchases made by adding selective preferences. One can use fingerprint or face ID verification to shield the data effectively.
