Threads app has now gained the capability to delete the account without leaving Instagram. Now, you can easily log out and delete this new online social media application without fear of losing your favorite Instagram!
Consequently, the Threads app is a new text-based conversation platform that provides posts to follow your interests and the latest updates. It is the recent invention of the Meta company and one of the biggest rivals of X (formerly known as Twitter). Notably, the new app is somewhat similar to X but promises to offer better features and user experience.
However, a demerit of this app was – it has been using the same Instagram account for surfing posts. As a result, deleting Threads would easily erase your stuff from Instagram as well. Finally, things are changing for good with a new update.
How to delete Threads account without leaving Instagram?
- Visit the Settings page on the Threads app
- Select the Account section
Here you will find two options: Delete or Deactivate the Profile. The former will remove your account including posts and other profile-related details permanently without affecting your Instagram details.
Meanwhile, the latter will deactivate your profile and archive everything in a safe place. Hence, you can easily rejoin the app whenever you want.
