What is single app screen recording feature in Android 14 QPR2 Beta? How it works
Apart from fixes and improvements, Android 14 QPR2 Beta 2 holds some hidden features including the single app screen recording capability. As the term suggests, this addition allows you to pick the screen recording function for either the whole screen or an individual application.
Eventually, the Screen Record tile in Quick Settings shows two new options. The first one reads the “Entire Screen” whereas, the second one is “A single app”.
How does single-app screen recording in Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1 work?
Choosing the single app option and tapping on ‘start recording’ displays a full-screen UI that has a mini Recents carousel with previews. Once you select an app, it will automatically open with the 3-second countdown. But the recording won’t include the status and navigation bar.
On the flip side, you won’t get the “Show touches on screen” option unlike in the entire screen mode. On leaving the app, the feature will not capture any other part of the screen.
