WhatsApp is bringing a new feature called Status Updates Filter. As the term suggests, users will be able to see a vertical list of their status updates along with a ‘See all’ button. As soon as you hit the respective button, the old format with a redesigned look will appear on the screen.
How does the WhatsApp Status Updates Filter feature work?
Eventually, the “See All” tab will lead users to a new page where they will see four filters in a pill-shaped icon. These filters perform the following functions:
1. All – It highlights all the status updates from your contacts and provides a feature to quickly catch up on everything their contacts have posted without missing any updates.
2. Recent – It enables users to focus on displaying the most recent status updates. This is beneficial when you want to see the latest status updates from your contacts without scrolling through older ones.
3. Viewed – Here, you will see those statuses that you already viewed before. It helps in keeping track of the content you have previously seen.
4. Muted – It is useful for managing and viewing the list of muted status updates. This filter allows to check status muted updates without dominating their recent status updates feed, providing a more focused viewing experience.
This feature is currently showing up with the Android beta 2.23.25.3 version and is available to some testers via the Google Play Store.
