Apple iOS 17 brings a dynamic Live Voicemail feature that helps in reducing spam calls for users. In addition, it enables you to decide whether you want to answer the call or see real-time transcription of why a person is calling you.
Powered by Neural Engine, Live Voicemail transcription relies upon on-device and remains entirely private. Note that you even get access to a block button to get rid of unknown callers.
How to disable the Apple iOS 17 Live Voicemail feature?
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Scroll down and select the Phone section
- Click on the Live Voicemail
- Turn off the toggle
While receiving a call and sending it to voicemail, you will see the phone and recording icon at the top of your iPhone. Tap this icon to directly jump on the Live Voicemail transcription. From here, you can block the caller, answer the call, or perform other relevant actions.
