Instagram cares for your security and if you want to limit your followers from commenting or messaging you frequently, then you can take the help of the Limit Interactions feature. It aims to put a barricade on abusive texts or those who constantly interrupt your peace.
As the term reflects, the ultimate capability hides both DMs and comments from users who don’t follow them, or who have recently started following (in the past week). Thus, you can interact with your audience and maintain a gap from attackers as well.
How to activate the Limit Interactions feature on Instagram?
- Launch Instagram on your device
- Go to the Profile section
- Click on the three-line icon (hamburger menu)
- Select the Settings & Privacy section
- Scroll down and tap on Limited Interactions
- Hit the Continue tab
Accounts that are not following you and Recent followers are automatically on. if you don’t want to limit one of these types of accounts, turn off the toggle for it. You can also pick days or weeks you would like to limit comments and messages, then tap Set Reminder. Tap Turn On to confirm.
