The name itself highlights how the app will aid users while reading and will improve the screen experience with a focus on customizable contrast, text size, text-to-speech capability, page clutter, and font types. After installation, it shows up in quick settings for easy access.
The effective function is applicable to websites or apps with long articles. Tap the floating button to open Reading mode. One can easily change its layout or tap the play button to read aloud the content.
How to download and install the Google Reading Mode app?
- Download the Reading Mode app from the Play Store
- Once installed, open the app
- Tap on Continue
- Go to the Settings app
- Scroll down and select Installed Apps
- Choose Reading Mode
- Turn on the toggle of Reading Mode Shortcut
Hereafter, you can select how you want to access the reading mode (via the Accessibility tab, Volume Button gestures, or Press Slide and Volume up).
