Android 14 not only boosts your phone’s performance with amazing UI elements but also ensures better security with the Enhanced PIN Privacy mode. When enabled, this feature disables the flashing animations on your screen while entering the PIN. Thus, it makes it tough for onlookers to crack your phone’s lock code.
The respective capability first showed up with the Android 13 QPR3 beta 2 release and made its final debut with the official Android 14 version. You can check for it if your handset is upgraded to the latest Android build.
How to activate the Android 14 Enhanced PIN Privacy mode?
- Go to the Settings menu on your handset
- Scroll down and select the Security & Privacy section
- Tap the Device Unlock setting
- Click on the security wheel icon
- Turn on the toggle for the Enhanced PIN Privacy option
