Google continues to drop effective tools for the Chrome browser and the latest one is the Memory Saver feature. As the term reflects, the capability helps in saving the memory of the application. It changes the behavior of Chrome for background tabs.
In simple words, those websites that are not part of your regular operations will be left inactive for a small amount of time. Thus, they won’t take up any space or resources and let your PC or computer focus on what you are actually working on.
How to enable the Memory Saver feature on Google Chrome?
- Open the Chrome browser app on your computer
- Click on the three-dot menu
- Tap on the Settings section
- Hit the Performance Tab
- Turn on the toggle for Memory Saver
