Google has introduced a new AI-powered Enhanced Smart Fill feature for the Sheets app which lets you enjoy the latest tweaks of artificial intelligence. This addition is a part of the Duet AI suite for Workspace customers and enables them to perform their tasks more efficiently.
The Enhanced Smart Fill feature will make manual text processing operations easier for users. Accordingly, it will automatically detect the relation between incomplete column pairs and predict the remaining values, filling them instantly. The entire process is based on AI and machine learning.
How does the Enhanced Smart Fill feature in Google Sheets function?
As mentioned, the new capability relies upon AI to recognize and fill patterns like phone numbers, emails, condensing, and generating text. You can use the Enhanced Smart Fill feature in two ways:
- Once an edit has been made in the file
- Live Suggestions – The feature can appear while you are doing manual text entry
All you have to do is accept or reject the suggestion by clicking on the suggestion bubble or tapping on the cancel tab.
