Tesla Cars lets you access certain features that ultimately boost the overall performance of the vehicle and one such is the Plaid Mode. Generally, this is a driver-selectable performance function that enables you to adjust the car’s stability control, balance, and regenerative braking to maximize capabilities on the race track.
In simple words, the Plaid Mode is a combination of five unique settings that optimizes the tri-motor platform and more than 1000 horsepower output. On the flip side, it drops the temperature of the S Plaid’s battery pack and motors by generating a large amount of chilled thermal mass, cycled between two components.
How to activate the Plaid Mode in Tesla Cars?
- On the infotainment screen, click on the Controls section
- Select the Pedals & Steering option > Acceleration
- Choose the Drag Strip Mode to optimize the temperature of the vehicle’s battery
- A message reading “Peak Performance is Ready” will appear on the screen
- Press down on the brake pedal and accelerator to initiate Cheetah Stance
- A message will appear reading “Cheetah Stance Enabled”, followed by “Ready to Launch”.
