Apple recently shared a new iPhone 15 ad on its official YouTube channel flaunting the authentic Smart Portrait Mode feature. Consequently, the feature can identify when there is a person, animal, or object in the photo so that users can turn it into a Portrait image.
Notably, this camera functionality can work even when you take a regular photo without turning on the Portrait Mode. In terms of availability, the respective tool is present on all the iPhone 15 models.
How does the Apple iPhone 15 Smart Portrait Mode function?
Eventually, Smart Portrait uses the LiDAR sensor to create a 3D depth map of the scene. With the post-processing image mechanism, the feature applies a blur to the parts of the image that aren’t your subject.
In the ad clip, the company mentioned that the iPhone 15 lets you turn your photos into amazing portraits after you take the shot. For more control, users can shift the focus between subjects without any limitations.
