5 ways to optimize Samsung phone using Good Lock

Good Lock is a powerful customization app developed by Samsung, designed to enhance the functionality and personalization of Galaxy smartphones. By leveraging various modules within the app, users can tailor their phone’s interface and operations to suit their preferences. Here are five ways I used Good Lock to make my Samsung phone work better:

1. Customize Lock Screen According to My Preference

I use the LockStar module of Good Lock to personalize my lock screen and Always on Display. This includes repositioning the clock to the top-left corner to maximize screen space and adding a weather widget to the bottom. You can place any widget anywhere on the lock screen and rearrange the notification area.

Steps:

2. Customize Recent Apps Screen

Using the Home Up module, I made the Recent Apps screen more informative by displaying app names alongside their icons. This module also lets you change the layout to List, Grid, Stack, Vertical List, and more.

Steps:

3. Show the Date and Day in the Status Bar

Good Lock’s QuickStar module allows me to display the date and day in the status bar, with options to change the date format. This module also lets you move the clock to the right side and hide specific icons like Airplane mode, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Steps:

4. View Old Notifications for Up to 1 Year

Accidentally deleting important notifications used to be a problem, but not anymore with Good Lock’s NotiStar module. It extends the ability to view old notifications from 30 days up to 1 year, with keyword and app-specific search functionality.

Steps:

Tip: Use NotiStar to view deleted messages on WhatsApp and Instagram.

5. Use the Power Button to Launch Google Assistant or Open Apps

The RegiStar module allows me to assign actions to the side key, such as launching Google Assistant with a long press. You can also use it for other actions like taking screenshots, opening apps, or muting the phone.
