Samsung has started rolling out the Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 update for several devices, including the Galaxy Tab S8 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Galaxy XCover 5. This update introduces useful new features and security improvements, making devices smarter, more reliable, and safer.
Galaxy Tab S8 Series Update
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series is currently available in South Korea and will soon reach other regions. Users can identify the update with a build version ending in HXHB. It brings Sketch to image conversion, improved photo styles, real-time translation for calls and images, voice-to-text, better PDF management, and dynamic wallpapers related to weather and time.
Additionally, the update includes the August 2024 security patch, ensuring better system security and app performance. The update weighs around 2.6GB and can be downloaded by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 Updates
Samsung has also rolled out the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in South Korea. The Z Flip 4 update comes with firmware version F721NKSU4GXH7, while the Z Fold 4 gets version F936NKSU4GXH7. Along with new features, both devices receive the September 2024 security patch. This update enhances user experience with the latest One UI features, making the foldable devices more versatile and secure.
Galaxy XCover 5 Update
Surprisingly, Samsung has also released the One UI 6.1 update (not 6.1.1) for the Galaxy XCover 5. This rugged phone, which was previously slow to receive Android 14 and One UI 6.0, now gets the delayed update with build number G525NKXUAEXI1 in South Korea. It’s expected to roll out to other regions in the coming weeks.
While the Galaxy XCover 5 may not receive further feature updates, the One UI 6.1 update likely brings the final round of improvements for this mid-range device.
For all these devices, users can manually check for updates by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
