One UI 6.1.1 introduces dynamic audio equalizer redesign for Galaxy devices

Top 3 Key Points:

  1. New dynamic audio equalizer UI with chip-based presets.
  2. Enhanced design with more room for customization.
  3. Rolling out to Galaxy S series and foldables.

Samsung is updating its older Galaxy devices with the One UI 6.1.1, introducing a sleek new design for its audio equalizer. The redesigned user interface (UI) focuses on making the equalizer easier to use and more visually appealing, offering a modern and dynamic feel to the experience.

The main upgrade in the One UI 6.1.1 is the revamped layout of the audio equalizer settings. Instead of a simple list format, the presets now appear in “chip” forms, displayed under the equalizer adjustment bars. This new design allows for a cleaner and more spacious layout, giving users more room to fine-tune their sound settings. Each preset is also accompanied by a short description, making it easier to understand what each option does.

Samsung’s audio equalizer, which has always been a valuable feature for fine-tuning sound, is accessible via Settings > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects > Equalizer. Along with the design changes, users now have updated preset names, such as Smooth, Clear, Bass Boost, Dynamic, and Treble Boost. These options allow users to pick the best audio settings based on their preferences.

The update is rolling out to several Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24, S23, and S22 series, as well as Samsung’s foldable devices released in 2022 or later. As the update reaches more devices, users can enjoy a more polished audio experience with the new equalizer interface.
