Samsung has begun rolling out new software updates for some of its key smartphones. The Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy A55 are now receiving the October 2024 update, while the Galaxy A35 is getting the September patch. October 2024 Update for Galaxy S23 and A55
The October security update has started to reach Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy A55. For the Galaxy S23, the update comes with firmware version S91*BXXS6CXI4 and brings several improvements, the most significant being a fix for a security vulnerability in the Snapdragon processor used in the S23 series. This update helps protect the device from potential threats by addressing this vulnerability.
Similarly, the Galaxy A55 is receiving firmware version A556BXXS5AXI4, which also includes critical fixes. Specifically, this update addresses five vulnerabilities within Samsung’s One UI media function. These fixes ensure that user data is more secure while using the phone’s multimedia features.
Galaxy A35 Update: September Patch
In addition to the October update for the S23 and A55, Samsung is also rolling out the September update for the Galaxy A35. The Galaxy A35 is being updated with firmware version A356BXXS3AXI3, which comes with several important enhancements. This update focuses on improving the My Files app, Themes, Knox security system, and the One UI launcher, making the overall performance of the device smoother and more secure.
Availability and How to Update
The updates are currently available for unbranded Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A35 devices across Europe, including the Netherlands and Belgium. However, if you own a Galaxy S23 FE, note that its October update will be released at a later time as it follows a separate schedule.
