As October 2024 wraps up, Samsung is delivering a fresh security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. This October security patch targets 42 vulnerabilities, enhancing device safety and stability. The update is currently rolling out to the international Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet (model number SM-X610).

The latest firmware update comes with version X610XXS6BXJ1. If you own this model, you can access the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. For those comfortable with manual installation, you can also download the firmware from Samsung’s database and install it using the Odin tool on a Windows PC. Samsung is expected to expand this release to other versions of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ soon.

Just last month, Samsung rolled out the One UI 6.1.1 update, based on Android 14, for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. This update introduced a variety of new features designed to boost productivity, improve device management, and enhance the user experience. If you haven’t explored these new features, Samsung has a walkthrough video showcasing the highlights.

Looking forward, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ owners can anticipate another major update: Android 15-based One UI 7.0, bringing even more improvements and features to the device.
