Stable One UI 6 Watch update set for broader Galaxy Watch release this November
Last month, Samsung rolled out its stable One UI 6 Watch update for Galaxy Watch 6 users who were part of its beta testing phase. This new update, refined over eight beta versions, initially became available only to beta testers of the Galaxy Watch 6. Now, Samsung is preparing to launch the stable update for regular users of the Galaxy Watch 6 series who didn’t participate in the beta program. The official release date for this rollout is set for November 12 in Canada, with plans to expand availability to more countries in the following weeks.
This One UI 6 Watch update, powered by Wear OS 5, is designed to offer Galaxy Watch users a smoother, more intuitive experience. Samsung’s enhancements in this version focus on easier navigation, advanced health tracking capabilities, and new customization options for watch faces. These updates aim to enrich the daily use of Galaxy smartwatches, making them more functional and personalized.
Galaxy Watch 6 users who joined the beta testing have already been enjoying these upgraded features, but those in Korea and the U.S. should ensure they are running the latest stable version to prepare their watches for ongoing updates. For Galaxy Watch users in other regions, Samsung has committed to providing the update soon to all non-beta users, so stay tuned for notifications on device compatibility.
Following the Galaxy Watch 6 update, Samsung is expected to release One UI 6 Watch for previous Galaxy Watch models, including the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series. Although specific release dates for these older models haven’t been disclosed, Samsung has indicated it plans to complete the rollout sometime this month.
In the meantime, Galaxy Watch 6 users can check for software updates on their devices. This update promises to add more useful features and enhancements for health tracking, providing users with an upgraded Galaxy Watch experience across a range of functionalities.
