Samsung has released the second beta update for its One UI 7 software, based on Android, for the Galaxy S24 series in the US. This update (version ZXL5) is available for both carrier-locked (like T-Mobile) and unlocked models.

This beta 2 update focuses on improving the user experience with better performance and smoother interface responsiveness. Key fixes include resolving issues with the “Now Bar” (a lock screen feature for quick access to ongoing activities) that caused display errors and malfunctions. Users should also experience smoother animations and navigation.

Here’s a breakdown of the improvements and fixes:

The One UI 7 beta program is expanding globally. The US, UK, Germany, and Korea are now on the second beta, while India and Poland have just received the first beta.

Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra users who have joined the One UI beta program through the Samsung Members app can check for the update in their phone’s Settings under “Software update” and then “Download and install.”

A known issue remains where edge tool panels sometimes do not appear.

Samsung encourages users to provide feedback to help refine the final version of One UI 7.
