Samsung Galaxy S25 Series launch set for January 22, 2025

Posted on

Leaked information, including an official teaser and promotional images, points to a January 22, 2025, launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The leaked teaser, shared by Evan Blass, indicates a Galaxy Unpacked event on this date, likely held in the United States, possibly in San Francisco or San Jose.

Design Highlights:

The teasers and promo images reveal some key design changes across the S25 lineup. The phones appear to be moving away from sharp, boxy designs, adopting a more rounded frame reminiscent of recent iPhones. The camera rings on the back are also redesigned, with variations between the Ultra and Plus models.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature the thinnest bezels ever seen on a Samsung phone, surpassing even the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Xiaomi 15. The frame is described as angular with softened corners for improved ergonomics.

The Galaxy S25 Plus appears to maintain a similar design language to its predecessor, with minimal symmetrical bezels, potentially even thinner than the S24 Plus. Leaked images of the S25+ also reveal the likely placement of the mmWave antenna for US models.

Possible Fourth Model:

Intriguingly, the teaser shows four phones, fueling speculation about a potential Galaxy S25 Slim model. This device is rumored to have a thinner design but retain the performance of the other S25 models. Its launch timeline may differ, potentially arriving in Q2 2025 (April-June).

Color Options:

Leaked information suggests a range of colorways for the S25 series. The S25 and S25 Plus may come in Blue Black, Coral Red, Icy Blue, Mint, Navy, Pink Gold, and Silver Shadow. The S25 Ultra is rumored to be available in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Jade Green, Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Pink Gold, Titanium Silver Blue, and Titanium White Silver.

Other Details:

The S25 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset and feature generative AI capabilities with One UI 7. No camera upgrades are expected for the standard S25 and S25 Plus models.
