Samsung unveils AI-Enhanced Classroom Displays at BETT 2025

At this year’s BETT expo in the UK, Samsung has taken a significant step by introducing AI-powered features into its classroom Interactive Displays. The highlight of the event was the launch of the WAFX-P model, marking Samsung’s first foray into AI-integrated educational technology.

This new series is designed to transform traditional classroom learning into a more interactive and efficient experience. The WAFX-P model is equipped with the Samsung AI Assistant, which offers three key features: AI Summary, Circle to Search, and Live Transcript.

  • AI Summary helps in generating concise recaps of lessons, aiding both students in revision and teachers in planning.
  • Circle to Search allows for quick searches on any topic by simply circling elements on the screen, pulling information from reliable sources.
  • Live Transcript converts spoken words into text in real-time, facilitating better note-taking and lesson review for students.

The WAFX-P runs on Android 15, boasting an octa-core CPU, a robust NPU with 4.8 TOPS performance, 16GB RAM, and 128GB SSD storage. The display supports 4K resolution with a brightness of up to 450 nits, complemented by a 4K camera, microphone, and 20W speakers for an enriched learning environment.

Samsung has also announced partnerships with leading AI companies, including Google, to enhance the capabilities of these displays. The integration with Google Classroom and Google Drive ensures a seamless educational experience.

Available in 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch sizes, these displays are set to update Samsung’s 2024 Interactive Display lineup with the new AI features. According to Hoon Chung, EVP of Samsung DX, this initiative is about revolutionizing education by making AI an integral part of the learning process.
