Samsung Electronics first XR headset Project Moohan

Samsung’s new XR Headset might be the star at Galaxy unpacked

Samsung is set to show off its new XR Headset, called Project Moohan, at the Galaxy Unpacked event happening soon. This device is meant to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro, which had some problems and was pretty expensive.

At the event, we might just get a sneak peek of the headset. It won’t be for sale right away but could hit the market later this year. People at the event might even get to try out a prototype, giving them a taste of what Samsung’s XR experience could be like.

This headset is a big step forward because it’s being made with help from Google and Qualcomm. Samsung is building the headset, Google is making a special operating system for it, and Qualcomm is providing the tech support. Together, they’re trying to make the headset comfortable to wear and full of good content.

Plus, the headset will use Google’s AI called Gemini, which should make using it a lot better.

Samsung is also working on XR smart glasses. They’ve hinted that these could be shown off at the same event. There’s talk from DIGITIMES Research that we’ll see more than 100 companies making AI smart glasses this year, with sales expected to grow a lot by 2030.
