Samsung is ready to show off its new Galaxy S25 phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22nd at 1 PM Eastern Time. This event usually highlights new phones and software, especially focusing on AI features, but there might be some surprises too. Here’s what you should know and how you can watch it live.

How to Watch the Event

You can watch the event live on YouTube, Samsung’s official site, and their news page. We’ll also be sharing updates on The Verge as things happen. They’re expected to introduce the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra.

What to Expect

The new phones will probably look a lot like the old ones, but the S25 Ultra might have slightly curved corners, based on some leaked pictures. Samsung has said these phones will support Qi2 wireless charging, but you might need a special case to use all the features like with MagSafe.

Leaked Pictures of the S25 Plus and Ultra

We’ve seen some early images of what the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra might look like. They’ll run on Android 15 with Samsung’s new One UI 7, which has cool features like a new notification bar similar to the iPhone’s Dynamic Island, an updated camera app, and options to tone down bright videos on social media. Samsung says One UI 7 will make AI part of everything you do on the phone.

Don’t expect to see a Galaxy S25 “Slim” in the US, according to recent rumors. But, there’s talk they might say more about the “Project Moohan” VR headset, which was teased last month.
