The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are here, and they come with the latest One UI 7.0. Although this software was already on the Galaxy S24, the S25 series has some unique features.
New One UI 7.0 Features on Galaxy S25
You can check out the differences between the Galaxy S24 and S25’s One UI 7.0 in a detailed video.
Now Brief: Now Brief is a cool new feature that works with both Google and Samsung apps. It shows you information based on the time of day:
- Morning: It shows your health stats, like how well you slept, and the day’s weather.
- Work Time: It gives you your schedule, news, travel tips, and music for your commute.
- Evening: It displays your photos from the day and can even turn on your AC as you get home. Plus, it suggests when to switch to quiet mode before bed.
New Quick Settings
- There are two new quick setting options on the S25:
- Nearby Devices: Easily connect with devices around you.
- Modes: Quickly change your phone’s mode or turn modes on/off.
Morning Brief Widget: This widget shows you a morning summary, including your health scores and weather.
More Live Notifications: The Galaxy S25 has more interactive notifications, including updates for sports scores and health reminders.
Improved Galaxy AI: The new Snapdragon chip in the S25 series makes Galaxy AI work better, even without internet. Features like Composer and Style And Grammar have new settings.
Browsing Assist: Now, you can listen to a summary of articles instead of reading them, with options to pause, speed up, or translate the content.
Writing Assist: It’s now split into Chat Assist for messaging and Writing Assist for other text inputs, with new styles like bullet points and tables.
Sketch to Image: You can now sketch and get one refined image, with the option to request more if you’re not happy.
Photo Assist: This feature now works offline, letting you adjust how much it alters your drawings.
Drawing Assist: Choose from six art styles like Illustration or Watercolour to enhance your sketches.
Audio Eraser: Easily remove specific sounds from videos, like wind or pet noises, all on the device.
Despite some features being shown in the S24’s beta, Samsung saved some surprises for the S25’s final One UI 7.0 release, including Now Brief. This feature acts like a smart assistant that shows you what you need to know without asking, tailored to your daily routine and stored securely on your phone.
