Samsung has introduced a cool new app called Drawing Assist at their big 2025 event. This app lets you make art from your drawings using AI, and it’s much improved from what we saw last year on their foldable phones.
The app’s main screen is simple, with a place to draw, three buttons, and some preset options. Here’s how it works:
- Create Images from Words: Just click the “T” button and type in what you want to see, like “A whale flying in the night sky.” Hit the “Generate” button, and the app will create an image based on your words. You can then copy, share, download, or tweak this image.
- From Sketch to Art: With the draw button, you can doodle something simple using your finger or the S Pen from Samsung. Once you’ve sketched, say, a basic shape, you can then describe what you want to see, like “fireworks” around your sketch. The AI then mixes your drawing with your description to create different artistic versions.
This cool feature in the S25 series uses AI right on the phone for some tasks, but for making these new images, it connects to Google’s Gemini AI in the cloud, not just the phone’s built-in AI. This makes the Drawing Assist app really versatile, turning your quick sketches into impressive works of art.
