Samsung might roll out the One UI 7.1 update in the spring of 2025, packed with exciting new AI features. The latest Galaxy S25 series was just unveiled at the Unpacked event, and these new phones come with Android 15’s One UI 7.0 already installed.
A user on X named FamilyTaes mentioned that One UI 7.1 “exists” and could come out in the second quarter of 2025. There’s talk that the Galaxy S25 Edge – which some call the S25 Slim – might have One UI 7.1 right from the start.
It seems One UI 7.1 will add even more AI capabilities to the S25 series. Samsung might be holding back some special AI functions just for this update, which would follow the S25 Edge’s launch.
One UI 7.0 on the new flagships offers a smooth user experience with awesome new AI features, all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, making everything feel faster and more intuitive.
Interestingly, Samsung decided to launch the S25 series with One UI 7.0, which was a bit of a surprise to many fans who’ve been following Samsung’s software updates since One UI began.
Meanwhile, the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy S24 series is still ongoing in seven countries. Users are a bit puzzled about whether they’re getting Beta 4 or the final stable version, as the moderators aren’t spilling any beans.
At the event, Samsung confirmed that One UI 7.0 would coincide with the Galaxy S25 launch. With shipping starting on February 7, it’s likely that the One UI 7.0 update will begin rolling out around the same time.
OneUI 7 for older devices like S24/23 series will drop in Feb.
When it comes to features, the older devices supporting OneUI 7 should get most of the basic AI features.
OneUI 7.1 exists & will add even more AI features specially to S25 series, coming in Q2 2025.
