Samsung’s new S25 phones fix the grainy screen problem
Samsung has made several upgrades in their latest S25 phones compared to the previous year’s models, except for one aspect related to the S25 Ultra’s pen. The new phones are either as good as or better than the 2024 versions. One big improvement with the S25 series is that it tackles the grainy screen issue from the S24.
Back in early 2024, when the S24 series was released, there were complaints about the screens. While these screens were generally brighter and of higher quality, they had a strange grainy look when the brightness was turned down very low. This was something quite unusual for Samsung’s top-tier phones.
Luckily, it seems Samsung has solved this screen problem with the new S25 series, especially with the S25 Ultra. This was shown in a picture shared by a well-known tech leaker, @UniverseIce, who had previously criticized Samsung’s S24 display.
In the comparison photo, the S25 Ultra on the left has a clear, uniform screen, while the S24 Ultra on the right shows that graininess at low brightness in a dark room. The S25 Ultra’s screen looks much better.
Although the grainy issue wasn’t a major problem for everyone, as the screens were still beautiful, it was annoying for some users. If you were one of those bothered by the grainy screen on your S24, you’ll be happy to know that Samsung has seemingly fixed this in the S25 phones.
The fix seems to apply to at least the S25 Ultra based on the photo, but we think it might be the same for the regular S25 and S25 Plus models too. We’ll keep you posted if we find out otherwise.
