Galaxy S23 to get big update soon

One UI 6.1.1

It’s now February 2025, and if you own a Galaxy smartphone (except the Galaxy S25), you’re probably excited about the new One UI 7 update. The Galaxy S23 is at the top of Samsung’s list for this big update, and new findings suggest it’s nearly ready.

A person who shares tech secrets found evidence of a new One UI 7 version for the Galaxy S23 on CheckFirm. This version, called S91xBXXU7DYB2, is an improvement over the last one which ended in DYA6, showing that the stable update for the S23 might be just weeks away.

However, just because it’s listed on CheckFirm doesn’t mean the update will come soon. These listings can change or be wrong sometimes, so don’t get too excited yet.

This update could also come with the February 2025 security patch, making your phone even safer. The new version number tells us that Samsung is working hard to get One UI 7 out to Galaxy users.

While Samsung hasn’t announced exactly when this will happen, this new version number is a good sign that they’re moving forward with the update. The Galaxy S25 already has One UI 7 from the start, so the S23 should be next.

One UI 7 comes with lots of cool new features that will make using your Galaxy phone even better. You’ll get things like a new way to scroll through your apps, different-looking icons, better ways to customize your widgets, and bigger folders on your home screen. The whole look of your phone will feel new and modern, with updated designs for many apps.

If you have a Galaxy S23, keep checking for notifications or software updates because the big One UI 7 update could be right around the corner. Keep an eye out for more news on this!
