The Galaxy S25 Ultra is Samsung’s strongest phone yet, equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a cooling system that’s 40% bigger than last year’s model.
Samsung showed off the phone’s strength at a live event on YouTube and Twitch. On January 25, they held the third #PlayGalaxy Cup in San Francisco, where top mobile gamers and famous streamers gathered for a competition.
The focus was on “Call of Duty: Mobile”. Two leading North American eSports teams, Tribe Gaming and Luminosity Gaming, went head-to-head using the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with Galaxy Buds 3 and JBL Quantum ONE headsets.
The #PlayGalaxy Cup: The Biggest Showdown was filled with over 250 fans, who watched the action on a giant screen in the middle of the venue. The event was also broadcast live for those not in attendance.
“Call of Duty: Mobile” is known for needing a lot from mobile devices, but thanks to Vulkan optimization and the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Galaxy S25 Ultra provided smooth gameplay and stunning visuals, according to Samsung.
Besides watching, fans got to try the Galaxy S25 Ultra themselves at a special area set up by Samsung. We also had our own chance to play with this impressive phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event last month.
