Samsung’s Exynos 2600 test goes well and Galaxy F06 5G set for India launch
Samsung is making strides with its new Exynos 2600 chip. They’ve been working on improving how they make this chip, and recent tests have shown good results. Just this week, they tested the Exynos 2600 using their new SF2 (2nm) tech and got a 30% yield, which is better than they thought it would be at this early stage. A 30% yield means about 30 out of every 100 chips made are usable. While this isn’t enough for full production yet, it’s a promising start for their 2nm process, with expectations that it will get even better over time.
The Exynos 2600’s development is happening alongside the Exynos 2500, which is on a 3nm process. The Exynos 2500 has faced some delays, and Samsung is keen to avoid the same issues with the Exynos 2600. They’re pushing hard to make sure there are no more delays because another setback could be costly for the company. The new SF2 technology promises to make the chips 12% faster and 25% more energy-efficient than before.
In other news, Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy F06 5G in India. Flipkart, one of the biggest online shopping sites in the country, has confirmed this. They’ve shown off the back of the phone, which has two cameras. It’s expected to be priced under INR 10,000, making it quite affordable.
While we don’t have an exact launch date, we can guess some specs based on its cousin, the Galaxy A06 5G. It might come with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, MediaTek Helio G85 chip, up to 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, run on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. This launch is exciting news for budget-conscious consumers looking for 5G capabilities in India, and it shows Samsung’s commitment to expanding its 5G lineup.
