Easy game settings with One UI 7

One UI 7

Samsung has brought new game settings with the One UI 7 update. This update is only for the Galaxy S25 phones. It was supposed to come out earlier, but there might be another beta update first. With One UI 7, you can now choose your frame rate for games. You can pick between 60 or 120 frames per second (fps). This is great because it works even if the game itself doesn’t let you change the frame rate.

However, if a game isn’t made for a high frame rate, setting it to 120 fps won’t make it look better. You’ll find these settings in the Game Booster part of the Game Launcher app on your Galaxy phone.

Game Smoothness Options:

  • Choose between 120 fps or 60 fps for smoother gameplay.
  • You can also set specific frame rates like 20, 30, 40, or 50 fps for different games.

One UI 7 has been in beta since early December, with three big updates for Galaxy S24 users. Just when we thought the stable version was coming, they mentioned another beta was on the way. There was an issue in the third beta where screens looked too yellow in Natural mode. They’ve fixed this, and the fix will come with the fourth beta update.

Samsung is also testing new versions of One UI for their top phones, and it looks like the security update for February 2025 might come before One UI 7. Samsung hasn’t said much about when One UI 7 will be fully available, so we’ll have to wait and see.
