Galaxy AI and Gemini enhancements

Galaxy AI

At the Galaxy AI Innovation Workshop in the Philippines, experts from One UI and Android shared updates on the Galaxy AI and Gemini features for the new Galaxy S25 phones. Leaders from Samsung and Google also introduced these AI innovations.

The discussion was led by Ben Ting-Martin, Google’s Android expert for the Asia-Pacific region, and Jun Guevara, who manages Samsung’s mobile product marketing in the Philippines. Gian Viterbo from Gadget Pilipinas moderated the event.

Highlights of Galaxy AI and Gemini:

  • Smart, Contextual Help: The Galaxy S25 series uses AI to learn from how you use your phone, offering help that matches what you’re doing at the moment. This makes the phone feel like a smart friend. Gemini Live lets you handle tasks easily with voice or text, making everything from scheduling to booking smoother.
  • Better Productivity: “Day Planner” uses AI to suggest a daily schedule based on how well you slept, the weather, and what’s on your calendar. “Instant Translate” helps you communicate in over 100 languages, making travel easier by removing language issues. “Quick Search” now recognizes music and provides instant results based on what you see or hear. “Smart Actions” looks at what’s on your screen and suggests useful things to do, like making a GIF from a video or summarizing an article.
  • Security and Privacy: Both companies stress strong security measures, with end-to-end encryption and giving users control over their personal information. Important tasks are processed right on the phone, keeping your data private and secure.

The blend of One UI with Android, powered by Galaxy AI and Gemini, is a big step in turning smartphones into smart assistants. This teamwork aims to make phones work more efficiently for you, improving productivity and experience while keeping your privacy safe.
