Samsung took three years to perfect One UI 7

Samsung has announced that it took three years to fine-tune its new One UI 7. Even though there was a delay of three months, the stable version hasn’t been released yet, and Samsung users will have to wait a bit longer.
Sally, a Samsung representative, recently shared some insights into why the One UI 7 update is taking longer. She explained that the company is focused on delivering an excellent user experience. It turns out, Samsung has been planning this update for the last two to three years. Their goal was to make One UI 7 a significant upgrade for all Samsung phone users.
Sally also pointed out that the software team at Samsung aimed to refine every detail of One UI 7 – from the features and interface to the animations, ensuring everything works smoothly. Additionally, Samsung’s developers have been collaborating with Google from the start. This partnership helps make sure that AI features operate flawlessly between Google and Samsung applications, with Gemini Extensions being a key example.
Although Sally didn’t directly talk about the delay, she emphasized that the update is all about making things easier for users. However, no specific release date for One UI 7 has been set yet.
Sally, who leads Samsung’s Framework R&D Team, stated:
“For One UI 7, we’ve taken a different path. Typically, we update our UI annually, but this time, we aimed for something groundbreaking. This took careful planning over two to three years before we even began. We wanted to make a big impact, and this extended preparation allowed us to make substantial enhancements.
This thorough approach ensures that every aspect, no matter how small, is designed to meet the user’s needs and deliver the best possible experience.”
