Keep your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra battery healthy
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a big 5000mAh battery, making it the top choice among the S25 series for battery life. There’s one special feature that can help keep your battery in good shape – it’s called Battery Protection, but it’s turned off by default.
Why should you care about Battery Protection? Well, when you charge your phone to 100% every time, it can wear out the battery faster. Studies show that keeping your phone’s charge between 20% and 80% is better for the battery’s long-term health.
Here’s how you can use the Battery Protection feature:
- Go to Settings: Scroll to the battery section.
- Enable Battery Protection: Tap on the slider to turn it on.
You’ll see three choices:
- Basic: This mode charges to 100% but stops once it hits 95%. It waits until the battery drops back to 95% before charging again. It’s a gentle way to manage battery charge.
- Adaptive: This smart option charges to 80% during your sleep time (based on your usage patterns) and then switches to Basic mode when you’re likely to wake up, ensuring you have enough power for the day.
- Maximum: You can set this to stop charging at 80%, 85%, 90%, or 95%. This gives you control over how much you’re charging to help extend battery life.
Remember, this feature isn’t just for the S25 Ultra; it’s also available on the S25 and S25+. By using these settings, you can help make sure your phone’s battery lasts longer, giving you peace of mind with each charge.
