Samsung has begun distributing the February 2025 security update for the Galaxy A34, ahead of many other models in the Galaxy A series. This update is now available for users in Europe, with plans to roll out to more regions shortly.

The update comes with the One UI build version A346NKSS9CYA2 and requires a download of about 325MB. The Galaxy A34, which currently operates on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, is also lined up for the One UI 7 update. Samsung has already released this update for their latest Galaxy S25 series, hinting that the A34 might receive it soon.

This update significantly improves the phone’s security and performance by addressing numerous issues. It includes fixes for 1 critical and 34 high-level CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) related to the Android system, although two of these CVEs do not affect Galaxy devices. Additionally, Samsung has patched 7 SVEs (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures) specifically concerning the Samsung Find app, the Android Application Component in Settings, among others.

To check if this update is available for your device, simply go to your phone’s “System Settings.” Scroll down to find the “Software update” option, and then tap on “Download and install.” Keep in mind, the rollout might be gradual, so if the update isn’t available immediately, it should appear within a few hours or days.
