Samsung Home Up update improves home screen customization

Samsung

Samsung has rolled out a new update for its Home Up Good Lock module, designed for Galaxy phones on Android 15 with One UI 7. This update, tagged as version 16.0.00.58, is now available on the Galaxy Store. It’s aimed at enhancing the experience for users who like to tweak their home screen setups.

The update tackles a major problem where the “OneUI Home” app would shut down when users tried to customize their home screen using the DIY mode. This had been a real headache, as it prevented users from modifying their screens without the app crashing.

Now, with the new update, users can jump into edit mode without any app crashes. Another fix comes for an issue where widgets would remain see-through even after being taken off the home screen in DIY mode. This made managing widgets quite tricky. Thanks to the update, removed widgets now vanish completely as they should.

Samsung also took care of some minor bugs, although not all changes are detailed in the update notes. These tweaks make the Home Up module work more smoothly. For users on a Galaxy device with One UI 7, you can get this update by going to the Galaxy Store, selecting the Menu, then checking for Updates, or directly through the GoodLock app. This update is a step forward in making your home screen personalization smoother and more enjoyable.
